Gyles Lingwood is best known in copywriting circles as co-author of the book ‘Read Me – 10 Lessons For Writing Great Copy’ published by Laurence King in 2014. Gyles is Director of Education (Arts) at the University of Lincoln where, amongst other things, he teaches on the internationally renowned Creative Advertising degree course, that he created way back in 2003.
After graduating from the Birmingham Institute of Art & Design Gyles worked in central London for over a decade for a variety of advertising and design companies. His creative work has been featured in the national design press and has won a number of awards including D&AD, the British Interactive Media Association and the US Creativity Awards. His students are regularly successful in national and international advertising and design competitions, including D&AD and YCN.
Gyles Lingwood is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and undertakes advisory roles in practice-based arts higher education. He also speaks at business events on the subjects of creativity, idea generation and copywriting.
