Drawing on behavioural economics and psychology, we’ll get inside readers’ heads and look at some of the heuristics and cognitive biases that affect everyday decision-making. There’ll be lots of examples and interactive exercises to help you apply what you learn to your own copywriting.
About the Speaker
Before setting up WordNerd I got an MA in Economics from the University of Edinburgh and an MSc in Development Economics from SOAS (the School of Oriental & African Studies) at the University of London. I also worked in financial services in Edinburgh and London, and spent a year at an overseas development consultancy in Brighton.
I decided that copywriting was the life for me after spending three years developing my skills in marketing in the charity sector. Setting up WordNerd is the best thing I’ve ever done and I hope I’ll get to write for a living for the rest of my life.
