What we know about you.
The plain-English version: we collect what we need to run a conference, we don’t share it for marketing, and we keep it the shortest sensible time. The detailed version follows.
The data controller is ProCopywriters Limited (the Alliance of Commercial Writers), a company registered in England. CopyCon International is run by ProCopywriters; the same privacy practices apply.
Data Protection contact: privacy@procopywriters.co.uk
Ticket holders: name, email, billing address (UK VAT). Kept for 6 years after the event for accounting purposes; the email goes onto our event-comms list (you can leave any time).
Speaker submissions / PIL briefs: the content you submit, your contact details. Kept for the cycle; deleted after the conference unless we’re continuing the conversation.
Site analytics: aggregated, no individual tracking. We measure which pages get read, not who reads them.
Newsletter: email address only, used only for the event newsletter. Unsubscribe link in every email.
We use a small set of suppliers to run the event. None of them sell your data; all of them are bound by data-processing agreements: TicketTailor (ticketing), Mailchimp (newsletter), Zoom or Hopin (broadcast platform — TBC), Stripe (payments).
We do not sell your data, ever. We do not pass your details to sponsors. We do not use your submissions to train AI models, our own or anyone else’s.
Under UK GDPR you can: see what we hold; correct it; ask us to delete it; ask us to stop using it; ask for it in a portable format.
To exercise any of these, write to privacy@procopywriters.co.uk. We’ll reply within 30 days.
The CopyCon site uses one strictly-necessary cookie (to remember your time-zone preference on the schedule) and, with your consent, one analytics cookie. There is no advertising tracking.
If we materially change anything here we’ll email anyone with an active ticket and post a note on this page with the new revision date. Current version: 2026-05-07.
